Customize Data Capture

Some campaigns require more information than email, to be collected from the consumer at the time of photo capture. The Snappie App allows you to fill out a web form as part of a consumer’s photo session. This web form can contain any number of questions that have been set up for the campaign.

Data capture in Snappie back end is loading as default settings:
– Name
– Surname
– Email
– Phone number

Data capture overview:

1) Field name

Which is only for the database, just for identification purpose when exporting data. This field can’t have spaces.

2) Type

We allow 6 different types here:

– Text
Is for normal text field, where you can put text data, like name, surname, etc…

– Mail
Only for email, it has email validation.

– Number
Only for number input, only number are allowed in tablet/ iPad.

– Yes/No
A normal switch that allows user to agree or disagree to something – example: Agree to T&C.

– Option
List of options, it allows user to choose between a specific range of choices, you need to add a description and then a list of choices separated by commas (element 1,element 2, etc…).

– Pop up

Normal pop-up, you need to add a description and the text inside the pop-up.

3) Description:

This is the text that appears in the front end of the iPad app.

4) Placeholder

This text is the one inside the fields and popups.

Delete data field

You can delete each section by clicking on the delete button.

Adding Type: Text

1. Select the gallery you wish to add data capture to.

2. Go to Gallery & Photos section on the left side of the dashboard.

3. Scroll down to Data Capture section.

5. To add new data capture field click + button. 

6. Choose Type Section  of the field required, list to choose from:
Text
– Mail
– Option
– Yes/no choice
– Number
– Pop up text

Text is for normal text field, where you can put text data like name, surname, etc.

 

7. Ad Field Name: Location (example)

8. Ad Description (the same as Field Name): Location 

9. Ad Placeholder Description (the same as preview sections): Location

Adding Type: Yes/No Choice

1. Select the gallery you wish to add data capture to.

2. Go to Gallery & Photos section on the left side of the dashboard.

3. Scroll down to Data Capture section.

 

5. To new text field additional fields click + button. 

6. Choose Type Section of the field required, list to choose from:
– Text
– Mail
– Option
– Yes/No Choice
– Number
– Pop up text

Option Yes/No is the option you would usually choose to add additional Terms & Conditions 

7. Ad Field Name, example: Images of your child and his/her work may appear on our website

8. Ad Description (the same as Field Name): Images of your child and his/her work may appear on our website

9. Ad Placeholder Description (the same as preview sections): Images of your child and his/her work may appear on our website

10. SAVE

11. You can make each section mandatory by clicking on the edit button.

 

12. Test your Data Capture by logging in to Snappie App with relevant Device Key, click here to see how to add Device Key.

 

 

Adding Type: Option

1. Choose Type Section of the field required, list to choose from:
– Text
– Mail
– Option
– Yes/No Choice
– Number
– Pop up text

Only for lists: It’s made by elements separated by commas (element1,element2, etc…)
You can use this list to create scroll down menu to choose from: Age, location, favorite team etc.

Adding Type: Pop up with text 

1. Choose Type Section  of the field required, list to choose from:
– Text
– Mail
– Option
– Yes/No choice
– Number
– Pop up text

Normal pop up, you need to add a description and the text inside the pop up.
This pop up would mostly be used for additional opt-ins or Terms & Conditions.
